We must prioritize data security and privacy, ensure scalability, create a user-friendly interface, and balance parental control features while being mindful of not overly restricting the child's device usage or invading their privacy. Lastly, we wanted to ensure reliable and timely notifications without causing delays or false alarms and prioritize battery efficiency.

We implement Firebase for real-time data synchronization and instant updates, using Firestore for secure, encrypted data storage and transmission, along with 2-step authentication for added security. The scalable architecture of Firebase supports multiple users and large data volumes without performance loss. User research informs our intuitive UI/UX design for both Parent and Child app versions. Comprehensive monitoring tools offer safe browsing, app blocking, and screen time scheduling, with customizable options. A robust notification system ensures real-time alerts for parents, while battery optimization techniques minimize the app's impact on device battery life.
