Ocean View Games is a UK Unity game development studio based in London. We help publishers, studios, educators, museums and businesses build, port and modernise games, with a focus on mobile and educational titles.
What we do:
- Unity game development, from rapid prototype to App Store and Google Play launch
- Educational and serious games for schools, universities, charities and training providers
- Game porting between mobile, PC and WebGL
- Unity 6 upgrades and legacy modernisation, including Flash and Java rebuilds
- Performance optimisation: profiling, battery, thermal and crash fixes
- Co-development: senior Unity engineers joining your team, white-label by default
- Technical audits, QA and LiveOps support
Who you work with:
David Edgecombe, Director and Principal Unity Engineer, is a Unity Certified Expert and former mobile developer at Jagex. Adam Kaye is our Lead Unity Engineer. For larger projects we add vetted, senior industry-veteran contractors, so you get a senior team without agency overheads.
Selected work:
- Nova Blast: upgraded from Unity 2019 to Unity 6 in a week, cutting the download by around 50MB and improving battery use
- When Ski Lifts Go Wrong: migrated from Unity 2018 to Unity 6 with a mobile port in three months
- Nub: a Java-to-Unity remake for Inferna Games
- Bookwood: co-development and Addressables content delivery
- Pocket Factory: a mobile merge strategy game for Mojo Games
How we work:
Fixed-price quotes for well-defined scopes such as ports and prototypes, with milestone payments. Ongoing work is billed time and materials with weekly reporting. NDAs are signed before any code is exchanged, and all bespoke work is assigned to the client on final payment. Every delivery includes a 30-day warranty on critical bugs, with LiveOps retainers available afterwards. We reply to enquiries within one to two business days.
