Challenge

A US payroll compliance software provider was working across disconnected systems for finance, human resources, sales, and support. Data gaps slowed customer service and back-office work, and staff filled those gaps by rekeying information between platforms, which introduced financial errors and made it impossible to trust any single system as the source of truth.

Solution

Oktana opened with a 200-hour discovery phase to align on requirements, address security and data integrity questions early, and adapt to the client's release and testing processes, then built the integration on MuleSoft aligned to Salesforce architectural standards. Key elements of the solution included:

  • Set up development, QA, and UAT environments and created reusable templates so the client's team can work faster and more independently.
  • Automated the link between the payroll platform and the ERP system to stop manual data entry and prevent financial errors.
  • Connected compliance certification data directly into Salesforce so teams work from accurate information.
  • Enabled real-time synchronization of customer support data with the client's support platform.
  • Designed the architecture for long-term scalability, supporting the current use case and seven to ten future scenarios.

Technologies: MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, NetSuite, Paycom, Freshdesk, SFTP, Jenkins, Git.

Results

A fragmented infrastructure became a unified digital ecosystem connecting finance, HR, sales, and support. The client maximized the return on its existing software stack, reduced integration overhead, and established the groundwork for error-free growth across future projects, with environments and templates its own team can run without external help.
