Challenge

Duscholux, a Swiss premium shower systems manufacturer, operated four production facilities across different regions — each generating warranty and serial number data in entirely different formats. There was no unified process to consolidate this information: every production cycle required manual effort from the team — requesting files from each factory, checking structural completeness, converting format-specific data to match the PIM system’s requirements, investigating failed imports, and rerunning processes from scratch when errors occurred.

This fragmented, manual workflow slowed down the availability of warranty data across the organization, created recurring bottlenecks, and made scaling the process to additional factories practically impossible. As the business grew, the cost of maintaining this approach — in time, errors, and delayed customer service — became unsustainable.

Solution

Onix designed and built a cloud-based automation platform on Microsoft Azure that handles the full warranty data pipeline — from factory file receipt to PIM import — without manual intervention.

Each factory’s incoming files are automatically validated for structure, format compliance, and required field completeness. Factory-specific transformation logic converts data into PIM’s expected format, including enrichment with spare-part references where needed. Validated records are imported directly into the PIM system via REST API, eliminating manual export/import steps entirely.

The platform was built on Azure Logic Apps and Azure App Service for scalability, with a Next.js admin panel that allows business users to manage settings, configure notification recipients, review processing logs, and handle exceptions independently. Automated email notifications are sent after each processing cycle to keep stakeholders informed.

The architecture was designed to be extensible from day one — ready to onboard additional factories without reworking the core system. Integrations for factories in Spain and Thailand are already in progress.

Results

The automation platform delivered measurable improvements across all key metrics the client tracked:

40% reduction in time spent on warranty data processing, confirmed by the client
14-day cycle — warranty data reaches PIM automatically within two weeks of production, down from a manual, error-prone process with no fixed timeline
All four factory flows fully automated end-to-end, with two more integrations in progress
Improved data quality and consistency — every incoming file undergoes identical validation and transformation logic, eliminating human error
Faster customer service response times, reported by the client following deployment
A scalable infrastructure ready to absorb new factories without architectural changes
