
Challenge
AudioScripter was designed to address the challenges professionals face when converting recorded audio into accurate, organized, and usable text. Manual transcription of interviews, meetings, lectures, and research conversations can be time-consuming and makes it difficult to quickly review important information. Users also need reliable transcripts that remain useful when working with multiple speakers, different accents, background noise, and lengthy recordings.
The project required creating an intuitive mobile and web experience that could make audio transcription faster while keeping the process simple for users. Another important challenge was helping users navigate transcripts efficiently through speaker labels, timestamps, searchable content, and direct access to the relevant point in the audio. The experience also needed to support editing, extracting important insights, collaborating, and exporting transcripts in commonly used formats

Solution
We designed AudioScripter as an audio-to-text platform that allows users to record or upload audio and quickly convert it into editable transcripts. The solution focuses on making transcription simple, accessible, and efficient for interviews, meetings, lectures, research, and business use cases.
The experience includes real-time transcription previews, speaker diarization and labels, timestamps with jump-to-audio functionality, searchable transcripts, automatic highlighting, and theme extraction. The design also provides feedback when audio quality decreases and supports multiple export formats, including TXT, SRT/VTT, DOCX, and PDF.
A user-focused design approach was applied across both the mobile application and website, with light and dark theme experiences created to improve usability and flexibility.

Key product features such as speaker labels, timestamps, real-time transcription, automatic highlights, theme extraction, noise-quality feedback, and multiple export formats provide users with a more complete transcription workflow.
The project also delivered mobile application designs in both light and dark themes along with website designs and logo concepts, creating a consistent product experience across platforms.
