Democratizing AI Agent Creation : Through $VIRTUAL Tokenized Co-Ownership
Challenge
AI agents were proliferating across Web3 with no shared ownership model and no reliable way for contributors to capture value from the agents they helped build. Three problems followed from that.
Creators had no mechanism to monetise an agent beyond selling it outright, so the people improving an agent had no ongoing stake in it.
Token launches were disconnected from the products behind them. A token could trade actively while the agent it represented had no usage, which left buyers with no way to assess whether a project was real.
Agents were built and deployed in isolation, one platform at a time, with no common infrastructure for discovery, governance or revenue distribution.
Virtuals Protocol needed infrastructure that made AI agents genuinely co-ownable: a token that represented a claim on an agent's revenue, a launch process that tied capital to a working product, and governance that let holders direct development.

Solution
SoluLab worked with Virtuals Protocol to build a tokenized co-ownership layer for AI agents on Base, Ethereum's Layer 2.
Tokenized co-ownership. Holders stake $VIRTUAL to take a share in individual AI agents and receive a portion of the revenue those agents generate. Ownership is on-chain and transferable.
Initial Agent Offerings. Agents launch through a structured on-chain process rather than an unstructured token sale. Creating an agent costs 100 $VIRTUAL, and liquidity is added once an agent reaches a 42,000 $VIRTUAL threshold, which ties capital formation to demonstrated interest.
Decentralized governance. Token holders propose and vote on protocol upgrades and ecosystem decisions, so direction is set by the people holding the exposure.
Agent marketplace. A single surface for discovering and deploying agents, spanning gaming bots through to enterprise automation.
Cross-platform deployment. Agents built on the protocol deploy to TikTok, Telegram and Roblox, so an agent is not confined to the environment it was created in.
Base L2 infrastructure. Built on Base for low transaction cost and modular contract architecture, which matters when every agent interaction and revenue distribution is an on-chain event.

Results
2,200+ active AI agents on the protocol.
Initial Agent Offerings established as the launch standard for agents on the platform, with capital release tied to a liquidity threshold rather than to marketing.
On-chain revenue sharing live, with agent revenue distributed to $VIRTUAL stakers holding a share in that agent.
Multi-platform agent deployment across TikTok, Telegram and Roblox from one build.
Token-holder governance operating, with holders voting on protocol upgrades.
