Blockchain for Energy (B4E)
Challenge
Blockchain for Energy is a group of energy companies looking for a trustworthy way to track and trade carbon credits. Most of that process still lived in spreadsheets and documents, so it was hard to prove where a credit came from or whether it had been counted twice. B4E needed a platform where carbon-capture projects could become tokens with a clear history anyone could audit. New companies also needed to be able to join without a long manual setup.

Solution
We put together a cross-functional Web3 team with Hedera experience and worked with B4E in weekly iterations, from discovery through architecture to delivery. Using Hedera Guardian, we set up policies with the rules every token must meet before it is minted, so each credit is tied to verified data. We replaced the manual onboarding process with an automated self-service flow. We also built backend services in Node.js, TypeScript and PostgreSQL that keep token issuance, custody and reporting in sync for everyone involved.

B4E now runs a production tokenization platform on Hedera. Every carbon credit is issued under a standard policy and can be traced from start to finish. New organizations onboard themselves instead of going through days of manual work, which has cut operating costs and errors. B4E's team has a codebase it can maintain and audit, and SpaceDev keeps improving the platform with them.
