Challenge
Satya Recs is a multidisciplinary label based in Lisbon working across music, painting, photography and film. That breadth was the problem: a conventional record-label site would have flattened the visual and film work into an afterthought, while an art portfolio would have buried the catalogue. The label also sells physical vinyl alongside digital releases and runs an ongoing mix series, so the site had to function as a shop, an archive and a publication at once without any of the three feeling bolted on. It needed to look like it belonged to a label with genuine artistic identity rather than a storefront template.

Solution
We built the site on WordPress so the label can publish releases, artists and mixes itself without coming back to us for routine changes, and integrated Bandcamp for the commerce side rather than reinventing a record shop. Vinyl and digital releases sit in the same catalogue structure, so a release is a release regardless of format.
Artists get their own pages spanning all four disciplines, which keeps a painter and a producer on equal footing. The digital series and mix series each got dedicated presentation so the label's ongoing output has somewhere to live, and a merch section handles physical goods. The design work led here: typography and layout carry the label's identity, because for a project like this the visual register is the product.
