Bringing Popcasts from the browser to the pocket, without losing what listeners already had for free
Challenge
Popcasts, a podcast hub from Grupo Renascença Multimedia, already had a website with a loyal audience. As podcast listening shifted increasingly to mobile, Popcasts needed a mobile app that reflected the same content — without charging users to access it.

Solution
Working side by side with the Popcasts team, Untile designed and built a mobile app that carries over the website's content while rethinking the experience for mobile listening — with content personalisation and theme-based categorisation, kept fully free for the end user.

Results
Since launching, the Popcasts app has been available on both the App Store and Google Play, giving listeners mobile access to the same content as the website — fully free, as required. Hundreds of users have been discovering the app daily since launch, with early feedback described internally as positive, suggesting the move from browser to mobile is resonating with the existing Popcasts audience.
