Infobyne, a full-service creative and enterprise company in the US, needed an internal communication tool built around how the agency actually runs. The team works on multiple client projects at the same time, has a clear reporting hierarchy, and needed strict, permission-based access rather than an open team-chat setup. An off-the-shelf chat tool would have left company data and contacts open to everyone, and it would have given no way to track who worked on what.

Solution
Genius Logix designed and built Sling, a custom internal messaging platform with JWT-based authentication and role-based access control from the first design decision.
Access follows the org chart. Company data is isolated by default. Superadmins, CEOs and CTOs see the full directory, Directors and Managers see their own company, and employees see their own colleagues. Cross-company communication needs explicit approval, and unauthorized contacts don’t appear in directory search. Leadership can message any employee directly without waiting for approval.
Sling includes real-time direct messaging with audio and video calling, voice notes, file sharing and pinning. Scoped workspace groups serve project teams instead of one company-wide channel. A searchable, permission-aware company directory and full audit logging of logins, messages, calls and permission changes are built in.
A Report Task module lets every employee log daily, project-wise task entries and hours, including past dates, inside the same app they use to communicate.
