
iLOQ’s Breakthrough Expansion to the U.S. with a Modern Web App
Challenge
iLOQ needed to enter the U.S. market with a modern web-based access management platform. Their existing desktop application was built for the Finnish market and was not suited to Apple-dominant U.S. environments where web platforms are the norm. The product had to support critical-use cases, including resilience during power outages and extreme weather, while project priorities shifted under an aggressive deadline to debut at a major Las Vegas security conference. iLOQ required a partner with strong engineering skills, flexible staffing, clear communication, and the ability to prove value quickly before expanding scope.

Hicron Software began with a focused front-end engagement so iLOQ could evaluate capability before committing to full-stack work. The starting team included three developers, one tester, and one Agile Delivery Lead, later expanded with architecture, DevOps, testing, and security support as priorities changed. We built an Angular and Angular Material interface on iLOQ’s existing .NET backend hosted on AWS, with offline-capable features for harsh operating conditions. Delivery used bi-weekly reviews and leadership checkpoints. Positive internal feedback accelerated beta release ahead of the original early-2025 plan, enabling a Las Vegas conference showcase in April 2025.
