Perform Zone runs an all-in-one recruitment and applicant tracking platform used daily by recruitment agencies and employers across Australia. The platform had been in production for more than 10 years, and that history had become the constraint.
Modernising a live system, not a spare copy. The codebase needed a technology upgrade, but agencies were working in it every day. A rewrite-and-switch approach was never on the table: any change had to land without interrupting the workflows customers depend on to place candidates.

The team covered every role the work needed: a project manager, a solution architect, backend engineers, frontend engineers, a DevOps engineer and a QA engineer. Perform Zone did not have to assemble a delivery function around the engineers we placed, and did not need a separate vendor for testing or infrastructure.
Incremental migration, not a rewrite. Legacy PHP components moved to Laravel and React piece by piece, each piece released on its own. Every step was small enough to verify and reverse, which is what kept a decade-old production platform stable while its foundation changed underneath it.
