NCIA's head of maritime IT services recognized the need for an update to the ISMERLO software platform to support submarine rescue missions. NATO needed a partner that understood the importance of the platform; a system that would give submariners in dire situations hope and save lives in real-world emergency scenarios.

Solution
Due to our expertise in developing complex systems in a short time frame, we helped rebuild a full Command and Control (C2) planning and coordination system that identifies the closest teams to a distressed submarine and coordinates rescue and medical capabilities to assist with getting personnel back to the surface.

Results
The updated system is now live and has been used in real-world situations, including the KRI Nanggala disaster, demonstrating its effectiveness. With the rollout underway, NATO's capability to respond to submarine emergencies is greatly enhanced, and Kellton remains under contract for ongoing product support, updates, and maintenance.
