Challenge
FightCamp is a California-based fitness application for home boxing workouts that integrates with studio-quality boxing equipment and a punch tracker used during training sessions. The client needed independent functional and UI testing for selected high-demand iOS app features rather than a complete inspection of all functionality. QA Madness needed to validate positive user scenarios while concentrating on negative scenarios that could reveal defects. The testing scope also required cross-device interface checks on iOS devices with different screen sizes, as well as feature-specific checklists. The goal was to identify issues before new functionality reached the main FightCamp app and affected users' training experience.

Solution
QA Madness established a feature-based mobile QA process for the FightCamp iOS app and punch tracker integration. FightCamp shared feature descriptions, testing preferences, completed work, required devices, operating systems, and target builds through Slack. For each feature, QA Madness prepared a checklist, executed manual testing, documented defects, and performed feature verification and regression testing after fixes were delivered.
The team conducted functional testing, UI testing, cross-device compatibility testing, negative testing, regression testing, and occasional full smoke testing. FightCamp used a separate test version of the app, where each feature was developed and tested before being added to the main app and released in the App Store. QA Madness also received daily feedback about completed work and detected bugs, enabling testing to align with upcoming development sprints.
