
QA Process and Testing for a White-Label Oracle-Based Banking Solution
Challenge
The client, a software development company building an Oracle-based white-label banking solution, needed an experienced QA partner to establish quality assurance for a complex web and mobile application. The product was based on Oracle Flexcube and OBDX & OBP applications and was designed to support banking operations, integrations, and future scaling.
The project involved complex business logic, multiple user roles and access levels, sensitive data, and strict operational rules. In addition to technical QA expertise, the client required knowledge of banking-specific processes and secure working procedures. Experience with Oracle banking solutions was essential, as were ISO and ISTQB certifications.
Despite the complexity of the application, extensive testing had not been performed from the beginning of development. The technical team had no dedicated QA engineers, and the existing quality level did not meet the requirements needed for comfortable operation and future product scaling. The client therefore needed to establish a structured QA process and significantly improve test coverage.

After receiving access to the test environment, the QA Engineer established the testing process. The work began with reviewing existing project documentation and test cases, followed by exploratory testing to identify defects and gather information for developing the test strategy.

Testing was performed based on the documented cases, with defects recorded in detailed reports and assigned severity levels.
